Job OverviewThe Fall 2026 Internship Program at Their Story is Our Story (TSOS) offers a project-based virtual learning experience focused on supporting refugee advocacy through media production and program assistance. Designed for university students, recent graduates, and individuals pursuing academic growth, this remote opportunity allows participants to work within cross-functional teams while receiving direct mentorship from organizational staff. Interns engage in specialized focus areas, including editing full-length and short-form video content, transcribing and curating personal narratives, or assisting with strategic initiatives for the Refugee Physicians Advocacy Coalition (RPA).
Key Responsibilities
- → Transcribe audio and video interviews into structured written narrative pieces.
- → Edit, organize, and categorize narrative content for future organizational archives and projects under staff direction.
- → Edit full-length story videos and craft concise, short-form media content from raw interview recordings.
- → Prepare, arrange, and manage raw media assets while integrating captions, graphics, and audio enhancements.
- → Support ongoing administrative, operational, and project-based initiatives for the Refugee Physicians Advocacy Coalition (RPA).
- → Collaborate actively with cross-time-zone virtual project teams using the Basecamp communication platform.
- → Attend mandatory weekly large group meetings every Thursday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET, along with scheduled small group team sessions.
- → Complete and submit all final assigned project deliverables by the program deadline of December 4, 2026.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- → Minimum age requirement of 18 years at the time of application.
- → Current enrollment in higher education, active pursuit of an educational objective, or recent graduate status.
- → Fluency in spoken and written English communication.
- → Consistent access to high-speed internet and a secure personal computing device.
- → Ability to communicate effectively and work flexibly within remote teams across varied geographical time zones.
- → Willingness to sign a mandatory Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and adhere strictly to participant confidentiality and consent guidelines.
- → Commitment to allocate roughly 5 hours weekly to project assignments and required team meetings.
