- Zuddl is seeking a full-stack Software Engineer to join its engineering team in a fully remote capacity within India. Zuddl provides an integrated event management platform relied upon by leading global enterprise B2B marketing teams—including CrowdStrike, Figma, Stripe, TikTok, Checkpoint, and Iterable—to host major field events, virtual webinars, and conferences. - In this full-time engineering position, team members take complete ownership of features across the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing React frontends, Java backend services, and cloud infrastructure. The role involves designing low-latency, real-time architectures powered by WebSockets and pub/sub messaging patterns capable of supporting thousands of simultaneous users during large-scale live events.
Key Responsibilities
- ‣ Manage feature development end-to-end, taking full responsibility from conceptual system design and coding to cloud deployment and production uptime.
- ‣ Design and implement scalable, low-latency backend architectures utilizing WebSocket connections and pub/sub messaging models to power real-time interactions for large events.
- ‣ Build performant, interactive React frontend applications integrated with live streaming, video functionality, and efficient bundle management.
- ‣ Incorporate AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code into daily engineering workflows while auditing generated code for logic flaws, stale closures, and concurrency errors.
- ‣ Author technical architecture documents and specifications to define codebase structure and establish clear guidelines for software development across the team.
- ‣ Maintain high engineering standards through clean code writing, comprehensive unit testing, peer pull request reviews, and up-to-date documentation.
- ‣ Collaborate directly with product managers and designers to iterate rapidly and deliver optimal user experiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ‣ 3 to 6 years of professional experience working as a full-stack or specialized software engineer with exposure across all system layers.
- ‣ Strong technical proficiency in either React or Java (Spring Boot), paired with solid working competency in the other.
- ‣ Sound understanding of core web fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and internal browser execution mechanics.
- ‣ Robust background in system design covering both high-level distributed patterns (pub/sub, partition tolerance) and low-level engineering (concurrency, memory management, database indexing).
- ‣ Relational database proficiency using PostgreSQL or MySQL, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and ORM evaluation.
- ‣ Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot, alongside the ability to identify and correct their failure modes.
- ‣ Familiarity with modern technology stacks including React, Redux, Java 11, Postgres, Redis, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
