Job Overview
- Vituity is seeking a Software Engineer I to contribute to the end-to-end development of healthcare software applications and core business logic. Operating within a collaborative nationwide remote framework, this engineering position involves building, testing, and maintaining software solutions while engaging in modern software development practices. Engineers in this role collaborate closely with Agile team members across project planning, technical estimations, code reviews, and quality assurance workflows.
- The position offers direct exposure to key software development paradigms, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies, including generative artificial intelligence research and development. Candidates will work with object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, or Python, interact with MS SQL databases, utilize RESTful web services, and assist with automated deployment and site reliability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- ★ Participate in every phase of the software development lifecycle to build application features and business logic.
- ★ Engage actively in Agile and Scrum team ceremonies, project planning, and task estimation.
- ★ Author clean, maintainable code alongside comprehensive software tests, and perform peer code reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- ★ Foundational proficiency in mainstream programming languages, such as C#, Java, or Python.
- ★ Familiarity with database systems and operating systems, including working knowledge of MS SQL Server, queries, triggers, and stored procedures.
- ★ Understanding of user interface technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Ajax.
