In this fully remote role, the engineer will be responsible for building end-to-end gameplay mechanics, crafting robust systems, and shipping high-impact updates to millions of active daily players. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners including designers, artists, and producers, the position focuses on writing clean, scalable Roblox Lua code while maintaining a polished and performant player experience. Key Responsibilities
- ★ Develop, test, and release interactive gameplay systems and features for a massive daily player base.
- ★ Take full ownership of feature lifecycles from initial technical planning to post-launch iteration.
- ★ Translate product requirements into structured engineering tasks and deliver realistic implementation estimates.
- ★ Write performant, clean, and maintainable code in Roblox Lua according to team software standards.
- ★ Architect robust systems designed for long-term scalability, stability, and high performance.
- ★ Partner with producers, artists, and game designers to construct engaging user experiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- ★ Between 1 and 3+ years of professional or dedicated experience in Roblox or general game engineering.
- ★ Solid understanding of core computer science principles, data structures, and practical problem-solving.
- ★ Proven track record of shipping gameplay features or titles within a live production environment.
- ★ Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities across remote teams.
- ★ Ability to execute feature development independently with moderate technical guidance.
- ★ Hands-on familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software workflows.
- ★ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical development experience (Preferred).
