Job Overview
- CIBC is actively recruiting an Application/Software Developer Co-op to join its Technology Operations division in Toronto. This role supports the foundational platforms, shared frameworks, and deployment environments utilized by engineering teams across the bank to build scalable applications on Microsoft Azure. The co-op student will engage in hands-on technical projects involving Python, PowerShell scripts, application programming interfaces (APIs), extract, transform, load (ETL) pipelines, and Databricks initiatives. Additionally, the position involves managing platform support requests, user access administration, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- ★ Maintain and enhance development platforms hosted on Microsoft Azure that empower engineering teams across the enterprise.
- ★ Support integration processes for shared services, common frameworks, and platform components to ensure cohesive tool functionality.
- ★ Execute development tasks involving Python, PowerShell automation, APIs, ETL workflows, and Databricks projects under experienced mentorship.
- ★ Administer operational support duties including handling service requests, managing user access, and troubleshooting day-to-day platform issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications
