Job Overview
- CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineer III, AI SDLC Engineer to advance the scaling of agentic AI capabilities across its global software development lifecycle. In this remote position, the engineer will build platforms, infrastructure, and agent-driven workflows designed to streamline developer tasks—including automated code generation, pull request reviews, testing execution, and deployment pipelines.
- Working across backend engineering systems using Go and Python, the role focuses on enhancing context-grounding mechanisms, optimizing model-routing logic for cost and performance efficiency, and establishing robust observability metrics. The engineer will collaborate closely with internal software teams to convert operational friction into automated, agentic systems while establishing empirical benchmark evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- ▪ Construct and refine agentic engineering workflows that automate code generation, code review, automated testing, and software releases.
- ▪ Optimize context-grounding frameworks to ensure AI agents accurately retrieve relevant technical information on initial queries.
- ▪ Design model-routing systems that assign software engineering tasks to appropriate AI models based on functional capability and compute efficiency.
- ▪ Develop observability tools, usage tracking dashboards, and benchmarking suites to monitor agent activity, performance, and output quality.
- ▪ Implement empirical internal benchmarks that measure bug identification, code review quality, and system latency using real-world tasks.
- ▪ Collaborate with engineering teams to pinpoint development bottlenecks and implement automated agent-based solutions.
- ▪ Support company-wide engineering culture regarding the responsible, effective deployment and adoption of AI technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ▪ 5 or more years of backend or platform engineering experience, preferably within production Kubernetes environments.
- ▪ Hands-on experience developing or operating infrastructure for LLM agents, including harnesses, tool integration protocols, or subagent orchestration frameworks.
- ▪ Deep technical understanding of LLM mechanics, such as context window management, prompt engineering, caching strategies, and latency tradeoffs.
- ▪ Proven experience deploying AI tools to improve operational workflows, automated decision-making, and organizational efficiency.
- ▪ Ability to drive technical execution and navigate effectively when working from ambiguous or changing requirements.
- ▪ Practical proficiency in programming with Go, Python, or both languages.
- ▪ Experience building internal developer tools, system observability suites, or cost management dashboards.
Desired Skills and Experience
- ▪ Prior experience using modern AI coding agent SDKs or development frameworks.
- ▪ Understanding of graph-based context architectures, including knowledge graphs and entity resolution for LLM integrations.
- ▪ Background in configuring, instrumenting, or optimizing high-throughput event pipelines.
- ▪ Practical experience leading benchmark-driven optimization programs, such as A/B testing or Pareto-frontier evaluation, for production infrastructure.
What the Company Offers
- ▪ Market-leading compensation and equity award structures.
- ▪ Comprehensive physical and mental wellness care programs.
- ▪ Competitive paid vacation allocation and company holidays.
- ▪ Paid parental and adoption leave policies.
- ▪ Professional development and career growth opportunities across all job levels.
- ▪ Access to Employee Networks, regional groups, and organized volunteer initiatives.
- ▪ On-site office amenities for employees who choose to visit physical office spaces.
- ▪ Global Great Place to Work Certified™ workplace culture.

Application Tips
- Applicants may want to highlight their experience with Go, Python, production Kubernetes platforms, and internal developer tooling on their resume. Detailing hands-on projects involving LLM infrastructure, agent harnesses, subagent orchestration, or prompt context optimization can effectively show technical readiness for the role. Candidates may also benefit from showcasing experience with observability dashboards, cost-optimization metrics, or benchmark testing programs designed for large-scale engineering systems.
