Job Overview
- Agile5 Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated and energetic Junior Software Developer to join its technical team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, the software developer will participate in the complete software engineering lifecycle within an Agile framework—designing, constructing, debugging, testing, and implementing enterprise applications. The developer will work closely with cross-functional project teams and end users to analyze software requirements, solve system integration challenges, and implement automated build and deployment processes.
- This position focuses heavily on Java and Python development while offering opportunities to guide junior peers and assist in evaluating application software tools and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- ✦ Design, construct, debug, and implement software applications within an Agile development environment.
- ✦ Write clean, testable, reusable, and efficient code that aligns with project objectives.
- ✦ Troubleshoot application defects and resolve software integration challenges incurred during testing and deployment.
- ✦ Learn, apply, and integrate emerging automated build, testing, and deployment technologies into project workflows.
- ✦ Mentor and provide technical direction to team members with less engineering experience.
- ✦ Partner with project teams and end users to clarify software requirements and refine system capability.
- ✦ Evaluate and recommend software packages, development tools, and application integration platforms.
- ✦ Create comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides and training manuals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ✦ Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience developing software using Java and Python in an Agile environment.

Education Requirements
- ✦ Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
Desired Skills and Technical Experience
- ✦ Experience programming with JavaScript, C#, and .NET software frameworks.
- ✦ Familiarity with the Spring framework and automated build/test tools.
- ✦ Hands-on exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker.
- ✦ Experience working with cloud platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Citizenship and Eligibility Requirements
