Job Overview
- ConversionTeam is seeking a junior JavaScript A/B Test Developer for a long-term remote position. In this role, the engineer will construct functional page variations derived from structured experiment briefs to support A/B split testing initiatives. The work involves writing custom vanilla JavaScript code and utilizing proprietary test tools deployed via Google Tag Manager to execute dynamic front-end page modifications. In addition to scripting, the position requires an aptitude for user interface styling and visual design adjustments to refine page presentation. The developer will conduct self-directed functionality verification and cross-browser quality assurance using LambdaTest prior to secondary review by an in-house QA team.
Key Responsibilities
- ✦ Construct webpage variants for A/B split testing according to detailed experiment briefs.
- ✦ Develop custom JavaScript scripts to implement dynamic page modifications via a proprietary Google Tag Manager platform.
- ✦ Modify front-end user interface styling and layout elements to align with visual design guidelines.
- ✦ Inspect built page variations against design mockups, functional criteria, and layout specifications.
- ✦ Identify, debug, and resolve functional or visual page errors before submitting code for review.
- ✦ Perform comprehensive cross-browser testing and quality assurance utilizing LambdaTest.
- ✦ Collaborate with the internal quality assurance team during secondary testing cycles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ✦ 1+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in vanilla JavaScript.
- ✦ Solid front-end web development foundation in HTML and CSS.
- ✦ Demonstrated capability to implement UI look-and-feel modifications and visual page changes.
- ✦ Willingness to work flexible hours with direct schedule overlap during US Mountain Standard Time (MST) business hours.
- ✦ Geographic availability within a maximum of 4 time zones from US Mountain Standard Time (UTC-6).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- ✦ Experience with visual design software tools.
- ✦ Exposure to tag management and analytics systems like Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or Tealium.
- ✦ Familiarity with web backend languages or frameworks such as PHP, Java, .NET, or Golang.
- ✦ Knowledge of eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.
- ✦ Experience working with RESTful APIs and general web development methodologies.
Who May Be a Good Fit for This Role?
- This role may be suitable for junior front-end developers with a strong command of vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS who are seeking a stable, long-term remote opportunity. Candidates who enjoy working on conversion rate optimization, building dynamic web variations, and conducting meticulous cross-browser testing will find this position rewarding. It is particularly well suited for detail-oriented self-starters who have a keen eye for visual design, appreciate receiving structured hands-on training, and can reliably align their working day with US Mountain Standard Time business hours.
What the Company Offers
- ✦ Comprehensive training on internal operational systems and proprietary testing tools.
- ✦ Long-term remote employment and career collaboration.
- ✦ Flexible working hours with required MST business hour overlap.
