  • This position strongly emphasizes collaborative engineering practices, including pair programming, mob programming (ensemble programming), swarming, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Key Responsibilities

  • ★ Build, maintain, and enhance full-stack Java applications deployed on JBoss/WildFly servers within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
  • ★ Develop and integrate all layers of the application stack, including frontend user interfaces, backend logic, APIs, and relational databases.
  • ★ Collaborate daily within a multidisciplinary Agile team alongside Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, UX Researchers, UX Designers, and Product Managers.
  • ★ Engage regularly in real-time collaborative development workflows, such as pair programming, mob programming, and swarming with teammates.
  • ★ Participate across the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, debugging, cloud deployment, and system documentation.
  • ★ Configure, deploy, and maintain application infrastructure on AWS EC2 and JBoss application servers.
  • ★ Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems spanning frontend interfaces, server processes, data pipelines, and cloud environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ★ Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical professional experience.
  • ★ 5 or more years of professional software development experience in enterprise-level environments.
  • ★ At least 5 years of hands-on experience building end-to-end full-stack applications using Java across frontend and backend layers.
  • ★ Proven experience deploying and configuring Java applications on JBoss or WildFly application servers.
  • ★ Direct hands-on experience working within AWS EC2 to deploy and maintain cloud-hosted software.
  • ★ Practical background using Jakarta Server Pages (formerly JavaServer Pages / JSP) for web interface development.
  • ★ Demonstrated experience working with SQL databases.
  • ★ Practical experience developing and integrating SOAP web services/APIs.
  • ★ Strong commitment to Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and Agile methodologies.
  • ★ Ability to write high-quality code efficiently and quickly master new tools and technologies.

Company Culture and Engineering Principles

  • ★ Autonomous and transparent team environment with low bureaucracy and shared leadership responsibility across projects.
  • ★ Active utilization of AI-assisted development platforms (such as OpenCode, Claude Code, Codex, and GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery and maintain high code quality.
  • ★ Highly collaborative structure with approximately 50% of work time spent pairing or working in small online groups.
  • ★ Focus on delivering incremental, demonstrable software iterations every one to two weeks with a quality-first mindset.
  • ★ Open feedback culture focused on root-cause problem solving and continuous personal and team improvement.

What the Company Offers

  • ★ Competitive annual salary between $130,000 and $150,000.
