Job Overview
- Doit is seeking a dedicated iOS Engineer to build native mobile experiences for its flagship AI Finance Agent platform. In this position, you will contribute to reinventing modern financial management by turning sophisticated operations—such as payments, card management, account oversight, fund transfers, and AI-driven user journeys—into fast, intuitive, and highly reliable mobile applications.
- Based in London under a hybrid working model, this role involves partnering closely with product managers, user experience designers, backend engineers, and AI specialists to take ideas from initial concepts through to live production releases. The role emphasizes operational efficiency, crash prevention, responsive layouts, and elegant software architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- ★ Develop and release native iOS features supporting user onboarding, account oversight, payment processing, fund transfers, reward tracking, and AI-driven user experiences.
- ★ Simplify complex financial workflows into intuitive, performant, and accessible mobile interfaces.
- ★ Partner with product managers, UX designers, backend teams, and AI engineers to translate early concepts into stable production releases.
- ★ Maintain end-to-end ownership of application health, focusing on crash prevention, swift load times, edge-case handling, interface responsiveness, and release predictability.
- ★ Leverage post-launch analytics, production telemetry, and user feedback to continuously refine existing features.
- ★ Implement secure backend APIs, authentication protocols, protected data workflows, and transactional systems with high attention to reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ★ Demonstrated expertise in native iOS engineering utilizing the Swift programming language.
- ★ Proven track record of shipping and maintaining iOS applications used in live production environments.
- ★ Solid understanding of fundamental iOS frameworks and architectural patterns, including SwiftUI, UIKit, and async/await.
- ★ Strong product intuition with a genuine commitment to user experience design beyond basic screen implementation.
- ★ Strong capability in diagnosing live production issues and optimizing application speed, stability, and overall quality.
- ★ Ability to navigate ambiguity and move rapidly within a startup ecosystem without sacrificing technical standards.
- ★ Documented background of significant personal contributions toward building, launching, or scaling major software products or platforms.
Work Location and Language Requirements
- ★ Workplace Model: This position is located in London, Greater London, United Kingdom. It operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring team members to work from the UK office at least 3 days per week.
- ★ Primary Language: English is the central working language across global teams, requiring proficient written and spoken English communication skills.
Selection and Interview Process
- The hiring workflow is structured for rapid evaluation through the following steps:
- ★ Stage 1: Online assessment or practical task.
- ★ Stage 2: Role-specific technical and domain interview.
- ★ Stage 3: Final interview round with the CEO.
- For strong candidates, the organization aims to finalize the interview process and extend an offer within one week of commencement. Applicants who submit their practical assessments promptly are prioritized.
Who May Be a Good Fit for This Role?
- This role may be suitable for candidate-focused mobile engineers who possess a deep appreciation for product usability, system performance, and technical accountability. Applicants who excel in fast-paced startup environments and enjoy taking full ownership of features—from architectural design to live monitoring—will likely find this position rewarding. It is particularly well-aligned with engineers who thrive when solving complex user experience challenges and who take pride in personally engineering features that deliver direct value to end users. Conversely, candidates seeking highly rigid task structures or isolated component tasks without broader product involvement may find this environment less compatible with their working preferences.
Application Tips
- When applying for this iOS engineering position, applicants may want to highlight concrete examples of consumer-facing iOS applications they have successfully shipped to production. Emphasize your hands-on experience with modern iOS technologies such as Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and asynchronous programming. It is beneficial to detail specific instances where you personally built or optimized key user flows, improved app performance, or resolved critical production bugs. Furthermore, demonstrating an understanding of secure API integration and presenting a portfolio or project breakdown that reflects thoughtful user interface design and strong product sense can help illustrate your technical readiness.
