Job Overview

  • The 2027 Spring Internship Program at Compassion International offers a structured, remote learning experience designed for current college students and recent graduates across the United States. Running from February 1 through May 14, 2027, this full-time program connects emerging professionals with operational teams across diverse functional areas, including Global Communications, Marketing, Marketing Operations, Donor Relations, Donor Research, and Global Workplace (HR).
  • Participants engage directly in organizational projects that support child advocacy and global ministry initiatives while developing practical skills in their chosen discipline. Interns collaborate closely with department team members, gaining insight into non-profit administration, communications, donor engagement, and human resources workflows. This opportunity is well suited for early-career individuals seeking to apply their academic background, volunteer experiences, and technical capabilities within a faith-based international organization dedicated to child protection and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • ★ Participate in daily departmental operations across designated focus areas such as Global Communications, Marketing, Donor Relations, or Human Resources.
  • ★ Serve as an active advocate for child protection by embedding child safety principles into all organizational tasks and decision-making processes.
  • ★ Comply with institutional standards, behavioral expectations, and the ministry's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
  • ★ Promptly report any child welfare concerns, neglect, or abuse through established internal reporting channels.
  • ★ Support institutional goals through courteous collaboration, personal faith alignment, and active involvement in ministry prayer and cultural practices.
  • ★ Fulfill assigned project duties during full-time scheduled hours from Monday through Friday throughout the internship duration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ★ Current college student or recent graduate with an expected graduation date between May 2024 and December 2026.
  • ★ Full availability for the complete internship timeframe from February 1, 2027, to May 14, 2027.

  • ★ Legal authorization to work in the United States, including valid visa status and Social Security documentation for international applicants.
  • ★ Active personal faith in Jesus Christ, with a commitment to Christ-like conduct and uplifting the ministry through prayer.
  • ★ Alignment with core organizational cultural behaviors and child protection guidelines.
  • ★ Capability to complete short-answer application prompts detailing practical skills gained through coursework, work history, or volunteer efforts without automated text generation.
Who May Be a Good Fit for This Role? This role may be suitable for candidates who are seeking entry-level professional exposure within a faith-centered non-profit environment. Applicants who have recently completed their undergraduate studies or are nearing graduation may find this program ideal for translating classroom knowledge into practical experience across marketing, human resources, communications, or donor engagement. Individuals who possess strong personal alignment with Christian ministry values, demonstrate a genuine passion for child advocacy, and maintain full-time availability during the spring term are well positioned to thrive in this remote learning framework.
Application TipsApplicants may want to highlight relevant experience with project management, content creation, analytical research, or administrative support gained through university coursework, internships, or volunteer initiatives. When filling out the application, candidate responses should clearly demonstrate how their background connects to their indicated department preferences, such as marketing operations or video communications. Furthermore, applicants should ensure their written responses reflect original thought and authentic personal reflection, as responses must directly showcase individual capabilities and experiences without relying on automated generation tools.
