Job Overview
- Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking a Full Stack Application Developer to join its OSQC Digital Solutions group in a fully remote capacity. This position focuses on engineering, deploying, and maintaining robust technical applications that solve evolving business and operational needs within the aerospace and defense industry.
Key Responsibilities
- ▪ Collaborate with clients, solution architects, and engineering peers to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack technical solutions.
- ▪ Present complex technical concepts and software designs clearly to non-technical business partners and leadership.
- ▪ Support fellow engineering team members with code implementation, architecture reviews, and technical defect troubleshooting.
- ▪ Develop a deep understanding of underlying business processes to ensure software functionality aligns with organizational goals.
- ▪ Apply modern engineering principles, object-oriented design patterns, and continuous delivery standards within a SAFe Agile environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ▪ U.S. citizenship (mandatory for accessing contractually restricted systems).
- ▪ Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 2 years of prior relevant experience, OR a Master's degree in a related field.
- ▪ Front-end web development experience using TypeScript frameworks (such as Angular or React), CSS styling libraries (Bootstrap, FontAwesome, or similar), and JavaScript libraries (AngularJS, jQuery, or similar).
- ▪ Back-end engineering experience with languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, or .NET alongside MVC architectures (Spring Boot, .NET Core, Flask, or similar).
- ▪ Hands-on experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks like JPA or EF Core.
- ▪ Practical knowledge of automated software testing frameworks such as JUnit, Pytest, or XUnit.
Preferred Qualifications
- ▪ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative written/verbal communication skills.
- ▪ Experience working with relational database management systems such as Oracle, MariaDB, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- ▪ Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- ▪ Familiarity with Object-Oriented design patterns, cloud-native software architecture, and database automation tools (e.g., Liquibase or EF Core Management).
Work Location & Workplace Conditions
- ▪ Remote position based out of Richmond, Virginia, allowing work primarily offsite from a home office.
- ▪ Candidates must reside and work from within one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).
- ▪ Occasional travel to company site locations may be expected based on operational requirements.
