Job Overview
- Aether Aerospace is seeking a Full Stack Developer II to engineer, enhance, and support web services and software applications vital to national security initiatives. Operating within a LEMP stack environment (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP) alongside ASP.NET MVC frameworks and modern JavaScript libraries, the developer will build custom application features, construct web APIs, and refine system performance across internal tools and operational platforms.
- In this position, software engineers collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into maintainable, high-performing technical implementations. Responsibilities span front-end interface development, relational database query optimization, back-end service integration, and system troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- ✦ Architect, build, and deploy web services and APIs to fulfill multi-system software integration requirements.
- ✦ Gather, analyze, and document functional business requirements from internal project teams and client stakeholders.
- ✦ Design, implement, and maintain responsive web applications using LEMP stack technologies (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP).
- ✦ Develop back-end application modules utilizing ASP.NET MVC, Web API, LINQ, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and design patterns.
- ✦ Construct intuitive front-end user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, jQuery, Bootstrap 3, and Google Maps API integrations.
- ✦ Maintain source code version control using Subversion (SVN) while adhering to agile software development practices.
- ✦ Write comprehensive unit tests, refactor existing codebases, and optimize relational database queries for maximum speed and efficiency.
- ✦ Maintain, support, and document internal development tools, software workflows, and technical best practices.
- ✦ Investigate technical problems, trace underlying software defects, and deliver root-cause resolutions.
- ✦ Support program operational strategies aligned with organizational initiatives to enhance productivity and maintain software quality.
- ✦ Accurately track and log 100% of planned working hours while fulfilling contract-specific labor category requirements.
- ✦ Participate actively in staff syncs, video-enabled team meetings ("Storytime"), personal development plans (PDPs), and company growth efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

- ✦ Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of experience in cloud architecture, OR a Master's degree with 0 to 2 years of experience.
