Your Opportunity
- Stantec is seeking an Infrastructure Digital Practice Intern to support the Infrastructure Digital Practice team during the summer term. This is a fully remote internship/co-op opportunity, and the successful candidate may be located anywhere in the United States. This role provides hands-on exposure to digital delivery, design technology, and infrastructure project support, with a focus on Bentley and Autodesk platforms used across transportation and civil infrastructure projects.
- The intern will work under the guidance of senior Digital Practice staff to assist with modeling, workspace support, data preparation, and targeted digital tasks that support active projects and enterprise initiatives. This position is intended to build practical technical skills while developing an understanding of how digital environments support infrastructure design and delivery at scale.
Responsibilities
- • Assist with Bentley OpenRoads Designer 3D civil modeling and plan production tasks.
- • Support ProjectWise workspaces through file organization quality checks and data preparation.
- • Provide basic Autodesk and Bentley software technical support under senior supervision.
- • Deliver infrastructure digital production needs including model updates and plan preparation.
- • Participate in training onboarding and documentation for digital practice standard workflows.
- • Test and validate emerging digital tools configurations and automated production workflows.
- • Maintain clear documentation adhering strictly to established digital standards and guidelines.
- • Collaborate effectively with global digital practice team members in fully remote setting.
Requirements
- • Pursuing degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management Geospatial Sciences or related.
- • Familiarity with civil infrastructure concepts digital delivery methods and design tools.
- • Academic or internship exposure to Bentley or Autodesk civil design software.
- • Strong attention to detail with proactive drive to learn new workflows.
- • Ability to follow technical directions manage assigned tasks and report progress.
- • Prior experience using OpenRoads Designer MicroStation Civil 3D or CAD BIM platforms.
- • Demonstrated interest in 3D civil modeling digital design workflows technical support.
- • Proven track record collaborating effectively within team based engineering project environments.
