Job Overview

The CBD Youth Career Program (YCP) is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented fresh graduate for the position of Engineering Development & Plans Intern on-site in Lahore, Pakistan. Operating within the development sector, this structured internship initiative is designed to offer emerging engineers supervised, hands-on exposure to core engineering development, master planning, technical documentation, and design coordination.
In this position, selected interns work directly alongside seasoned engineering professionals, contributing to active projects while cultivating essential technical and analytical competencies. Core responsibilities encompass drafting and modifying technical CAD drawings using tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks, assisting with site-related data collection and preliminary analysis, and maintaining structured project records.

★ Assist with preparing, drafting, and updating engineering drawings, site layouts, master plans, and technical documentation under professional supervision.
★ Support project engineering teams by conducting site research, gathering field data, and performing preliminary analytical evaluations for planning initiatives.
★ Help formulate and update project schedules, engineering plans, status progress reports, and associated technical documentation.
★ Assist in reviewing, categorizing, and maintaining engineering specifications, mathematical calculations, technical drawings, and official project files.
★ Apply fundamental engineering principles and analytical methodologies to carry out assigned development and planning tasks.
★ Generate and edit two-dimensional and three-dimensional CAD drawings and technical models utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
★ Participate in design and technical development sessions, offering creative input to enhance engineering solutions and project delivery.
★ Coordinate closely with internal engineers, external consultants, and project stakeholders to review project requirements and support timely task completion.
★ Organize and maintain up-to-date, accurate digital and physical project archives, CAD drawings, and technical records.
★ Perform additional engineering development and planning support tasks as delegated by the supervising engineering manager.

★ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or fresh engineering graduate status).
★ Functional competency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
★ Ability to read, interpret, and generate technical drawings and engineering specifications.
★ Solid understanding and application of foundational engineering principles and design thinking concepts.
★ Familiarity with basic project management methodologies and workflow tracking.
★ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis capabilities.
★ Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
★ Exposure to product development processes and structural design principles.
★ Effective verbal and written communication skills paired with strong teamwork capabilities.
★ High level of attention to detail and organizational skill when managing technical records.
