Job Overview
- An opportunity is available in Islamabad for a Backend Developer with multi-language capabilities across Node.js, Go (Golang), and Python. This on-site position focuses on engineering backend infrastructure, building high-performance microservices, and integrating scalable RESTful APIs for web applications, mobile platforms, and third-party integrations.
- The role involves writing operational scripts for task automation, maintaining database systems, optimizing query performance, and resolving technical bottlenecks in complex production environments. Candidates in this position will collaborate closely with engineering teams to establish clean service boundaries, ensure reliable inter-service communication, and implement robust data architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- ★ Engineer, deploy, and maintain robust backend architectures utilizing Node.js, Go, and Python environments.
- ★ Design, build, and integrate RESTful API endpoints for web applications, mobile services, and external integrations.
- ★ Develop automated scripts for operational maintenance, batch data processing, and system task execution.
- ★ Construct and support microservices architectures featuring clear domain boundaries and reliable inter-service messaging.
- ★ Architect and optimize SQL and NoSQL database structures, including data modeling, indexing, and query tuning.
- ★ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve backend technical errors, system failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- ★ Maintain proactive technical communication by tracking project milestones and reporting potential technical risks or blockers promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ★ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS), Software Engineering (BSSE), Information Technology (BSIT), or an equivalent field.
- ★ At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience specializing in backend development.
- ★ Proven hands-on programming expertise with Node.js, Go (Golang), and Python.
- ★ Practical scripting competence using Python, JavaScript, Bash, or equivalent scripting utilities.
- ★ Demonstrated background in building, scaling, and maintaining distributed backend systems and microservices.
- ★ Practical experience in designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- ★ Strong database management skills with relational and non-relational platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- ★ Solid grasp of asynchronous processing patterns, system concurrency, and background job handling.
- ★ Working knowledge of Git version control, Linux operating systems, and collaborative software workflows.
- ★ Strong technical debugging, analytical evaluation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- ★ Excellent command of written and spoken English for team collaboration and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- ★ Experience working with web frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, FastAPI, Django, Gin, or Fiber.
- ★ Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, CI/CD automated deployment pipelines, and cloud platform infrastructure.
