BJAK is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to lead the mobile development and architecture of its next-generation AI Finance Agent. In this role, you will build native, high-performance Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android development tools to deliver seamless financial experiences. Serving millions of users across Southeast Asia and global markets, BJAK is expanding its platform beyond digital insurance into broader personal finance management, including payments, investments, and automated wealth management features.
This position is ideal for product-minded mobile developers who take complete ownership of user journeys, prioritize app responsiveness, and maintain low crash rates. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional design and product engineering teams to integrate REST APIs, optimize memory efficiency, and embed on-device machine learning models where they meaningfully enhance user interactions

★ Engineer and release production-ready Android features utilizing Kotlin and modern architecture standards.
★ Design user-friendly workflows for digital insurance, payment systems, claims handling, and broader financial services.
★ Partner with product managers and UX designers to streamline intricate user journeys into simple interfaces.
★ Connect backend RESTful APIs while maintaining robust data security, application stability, and error handling.
★ Enhance mobile app performance, minimizing memory usage, latency, loading durations, and crash frequency.
★ Leverage product analytics, user interaction data, and production logs to continuously refine application quality.
★ Implement on-device AI-assisted mobile workflows specifically designed to elevate the user experience.

★ Minimum 3 years of hands-on Android application engineering experience with Kotlin.
★ Demonstrated track record of architecting, deploying, and maintaining production mobile applications.
★ Deep familiarity with Jetpack components, Coroutines, Flow, and contemporary Android software architecture.
★ Solid grasp of mobile user experience concepts, edge-case management, and intuitive flow design.
★ Proven capability in integrating RESTful APIs and diagnosing complex production issues.
★ Professional fluency in English for effective global cross-team communication.
★ Provision of live app links, portfolio projects, or GitHub repositories is strongly advantageous.
