Job OverviewM3 USA is seeking an AI Engineering Intern for a fully remote position focused on software execution and practical product delivery. In this role, the intern takes end-to-end ownership of software projects—from analyzing operational challenges to building functional tools, gathering user feedback, and refining applications. Rather than focusing solely on theoretical machine learning models, the internship emphasizes workflow integration: writing clean, maintainable code using Python or TypeScript, utilizing terminal-based Git workflows, and integrating agentic AI tools like Claude Code into primary development practices. The intern will work directly with internal business teams to observe workflows, translate user feedback into rapid feature updates, and present regular project demonstrations to product and engineering groups. This opportunity is exceptionally well-suited for Computer Science students or recent graduates who actively experiment with AI coding assistants, enjoy rapid prototyping, and possess a strong drive to learn emerging technologies independently.
Key Responsibilities
- ★ Take complete end-to-end ownership of assigned engineering projects, including problem analysis, functional builds, user deployment, and iterative improvements.
- ★ Write clean, readable, and maintainable source code following software development standards.
- ★ Present regular software demonstrations to product managers, engineering teams, and internal business stakeholders.
- ★ Engage directly with internal business end-users to analyze daily operational workflows and translate user feedback into actionable updates.
- ★ Utilize agentic AI tools and coding assistants as primary components of daily software development workflows.
- ★ Assess the performance, utility, and limitations of emerging AI tools and share technical insights with the broader engineering group.
- ★ Test newly released development utilities, document operational findings, and evaluate software performance outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- ★ Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline.
- ★ Practical experience using at least one AI coding agent to build academic assignments, side projects, or hackathon entries.
- ★ Working knowledge of modern programming languages, such as Python or TypeScript.
- ★ Proficiency working within terminal command-line interfaces for version control in Git without reliance on graphical interfaces.
- ★ Demonstrated ability to self-learn unfamiliar technical tools by reading documentation and conducting hands-on experimentation.
- ★ Practical experience with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern frameworks, is preferred.
- ★ Foundational knowledge of large language model (LLM) architectures and internal mechanics beyond basic prompt engineering is preferred.
- ★ Prior experience creating software tools or applications that have been deployed to actual users is preferred.
Who May Be a Good Fit for This Role? This role may be suitable for candidates who are forward-thinking Computer Science students or recent graduates eager to gain real-world software development experience in a remote environment. It is particularly well-aligned with individuals who already integrate AI coding tools into their daily software building routines and feel comfortable managing version control through terminal-based Git commands. Candidates who enjoy direct user communication, rapid prototyping, and taking full accountability for a software project from conception to release will find this setting rewarding. Additionally, self-starters who like testing brand-new technologies, evaluating tool performance critically, and sharing technical discoveries with engineering peers will fit well within this team.
Application TipsApplicants may want to highlight hands-on experience with AI coding agents, autonomous tools, or modern developer utilities within their resume or portfolio. Detailing specific side projects, hackathon submissions, or coursework where Python, TypeScript, or terminal-based Git workflows were used will strongly demonstrate core technical readiness. Candidates should also mention any background in web development, familiarity with large language model mechanics, or examples of software tools built for actual users. Demonstrating a clear track record of self-directed learning, rapid prototyping, and translating user feedback into software updates will help show strong alignment with this remote engineering internship.
